cloth diaper opinion

posted 29th Nov
So I've been doing so research and have discovered G cloth diaper (hybrid cloth diaper) was wondering a) if you have used them b) your opinion on them, and c) if you use cloth diapers (at all) what brand would you recommend?

G diapers suck ass. Leaks expensive poor fitting. Hooking in the back like WTF were they thinking. I am partial to WAHM's but for brandname I like BG.

I haven't, but we use alva baby and love them. They are really affordable (like $5-6/piece) and are really durable and nice.

I cloth diaper... started with gDiapers, they suck! If you want to start off with a hybrid (both cloth and disposable option) try Flip. I started off using those and moved up to pocket diapers shortly after, I like Sunbaby diapers... they're cheap and work very well! There is a thread around here somewhere, but I don't have the link anymore... just search for Cloth Diaper Rock Bitches, I think they are on Volume 4.

I've heard nothing but bad about Gdiapers. I prefer to use flats and covers. I use receiving blankets as flats, because they're cute. For pockets, I use most Alva's and they're nice(for pockets.) Cheap and no problems. I don't like fuzzibunz, bumGenius are good but expensive.

For never using cloth diaper before- I really like the "hybrid" option of also having bio-degradable linners, are G and flip the only brands that have this?

We actually Liked the G-Diapers.
We used the Disposable & then more or less Salvaged our own Cloth Inserts.
I Say Salvaged because as the Fitteds that we had(used exclusivly for our Son & we only had 12 of each size, & our son stayed in each size for 9 months) tore the Center away from the Diaper part we RePurposed the centers as Inserts.

GroVia has a hybrid option as well. I've used those, but found that the cover is a little too narrow for my liking.

I use Bumgenius. By FAR the quality matches the price. I used those cheap chinese ones before and the elastics died and they leaked a lot.

the new BGs have the inserts attached and I like them better than pockets.

You didn't like alvas? You're the first person I have heard say anything bad about them. What was wrong with them?

Hated Alvas.

They leaked all the time and by 11 months, the elastic was completely shot.
