12 Month Old & Diapers

DS keeps taking his diapers off when they are dirty and I am wondering what I can do to keep him from doing it. He can take pants off so that doesn't help. I've heard putting them on backwards works too, but wont the diaper leak? I'm tired of having to pick little baby nuggets up every time he manages to get the diaper off...It feels like I have a puppy who isn't house trained.

What about a onesie?

This. My son does this too and we started potty training him when he started but it's a little early yet and he wasn't having it. We put onesies on him and footie pajamas at bed time, which is when he really likes to do it. He figured out zippers this week though so we're gonna have to find something else now haha.

duct tape? And yea i'd think the diaper would leak if he peed bc the core doesn't go all the way from front to back. Maybe try putting him in a lot of layers so it's more work to take it off. Maybe this is his sign that he's wanting to be potty trained?

My mom had to do this with my pajamas. She used a safety pin to hold the zipper at the top because I kept taking my diaper off and wiping poop all over my room every morning haha. I remember doing it, too. One of my earliest memories. I remember thinking it would smell bad and she would be mad so I should do it lol. I was a devil spawn.

try them backwards. they shouldn't leak. Or try duck tape, or a onesie. with my cousins the backwards diaper worked. We use cloth and I had to switch to all snap diapers.

Why not potty train?

I started potty training my now 4 and 10 year old on their first birthdays.

They were day potty trained by 14 and 15 months no accidents and night time trained with no accidents a few months later.

Other then that I have no idea, never had kids in diapers past that. lol

I used to put onsies and then pants on him. It took longer for him to get it off and by then I'd catch him before poop got everywhere.

I started potty training DD when she started stripping her clothes. We'd played around with it before, but I'm talking real potty training. She's picking up on it pretty well. It couldn't hurt to try.
