Its just one single dose no matter what you weigh. Im not trying to screw with you but just inform you of the facts.

I got mine taken out for free at planned parenthood, then they replaced it for me with paragard. I'm so happy with that.

True, there are different hormones and how your body reacts to them is different, however, they don't customize BC for you because of your weight.

The rod is self hormone releasing, it only releases certain amounts at a time.

Do you have an income? I'm a student so I think that's why they did it free.

Anywho, I am in love with it. I could NOT be happier right now. I was MISERABLE with the implanon. I gained so much weight and always always mad or depressed. I asked how long it'd take for me to get back to normal and she said the hormones stop immediately, but it varies by person. Literally the next day I was feeling better. Now, 2 weeks later I can't remember ever being so happy and content with myself. I've lost 10 lbs and even though I've been eating like an smurf because of thanksgiving and just wanting to eat yummy food, I've only gained 1/2 a pound back of what I've lost. If I still had my implanon I would've gained it all back, I know it. But the paragard.. Oh my. I wish I got it years ago. I love that it has no hormones, it was a little uncomfortable going in, I'm still kind of spotty, but I'll take blood over the mess I was emotionally. They said it can cause your periods to be heavier and have more cramping, but I haven't experienced that at all. But then again I just got it. But I don't care. I LOVE not having any foreign hormones in me.

Yes I have income but I'm willing to pay some as long as its reasonable. If not I can wait to the 1st of the year and my health care kicks back in.
