headaches..

People who are around how many weeks I am or have had a baby did you get throbbing headaches torward the end of your pregnancy? I had one yesterday that went away with ibuprofen but today it started and didnt hurt so bad, took some ibuprofen and its just gotten WORSE like throbbing, and im having sensitivity to light at times, and slight light headedness. Is that normal or something to be worried about?

You should NOT take ibuprofen while pregnant.
Take Tylenol.

I started getting headaches right after my baby was born. He is 4 months now and I haven't had a headache since he was 2 months.

Do you drink enough water during the day?

First of all, does your doctor know you are taking ibuprofen? Ibuprofen is not supposed to be taken during pregnancy.

Second, it is often a sign of dehydration or high blood pressure. I had 5 long weeks of horrible headaches before I was induced for my blood pressure. That was just one symptom of my blood pressure problems.

NO. DO NOT TAKE IT.

was just going to post that about the ibuprophen, it is safe in the first 2 trimesters BUT not the third... take tylenol instead and try taking benedryl with the tylenol and drink lots of water too for the headache   ... might be an increase in blood pressure too... just try to relax and take it easy the end is in sight for us

hm i guess ill take tylenol then.. but i was told it was okay, never got told i shouldn't be taking it. and i dont have high blood pressue and ive been drinking plenty of water.

and they sound like migraines to me... but I wasnt allowed to take my migraine meds during pregnancy   try tylenol, a cool dark place, and a cold rag/compress on your head. and caffeine helps mine

not bashing you, but I cant believe they never told you that. that was one of the main things I was always told. hope you feel better!

Yeah i know. I just didn't know. Everybodys just said take ibuprofen.

Caffeine helps my headaches too. I rarely drink coffee but I had it (or coffee like products) more in my second pregnancy then I had in my life (I used to drink about two cups a year, during that pregnancy it was more like two cups a week, I had frequent headaches).

yeah i drink 1-2 small cups of coffee a day cause i have drank coffee since i was probably like 11. so i cant really cut that out but i dont use really sugary stuff with it. But i cut out almost all sodas (when i would drink some it would be diet) and occasionally a regular soda but not all the time i try to stay out of the caffine besides my coffee. I grabbed a soda hoping it would help my headache but nothing really.
