4 weeks ahead

posted 29th Nov
I went to my obg today and she said Im measuring 4 weeks ahead. So Im 30 weeks and measuring 34. The first girl thought I was measuring 37!! thankfully my doctor double checked lol. But has anyone had any experience with this?? Did it do anything to your date or did you still deliver around the same EDD? Im having an ultra sound in order to determine baby size. But my son was 8lbs 4ozs at 37.5 born... so Im thinking little girl is just big like her brother.. ?

Is your sTomach measuring ahead or the baby?
I was told the baby was 3 weeks ahead had to have her in an emergency at34 weeks....yeah no, she was so tiny and NOT measuring ahead.
Ultrasounds can lie.

ya its my tummy. Ive only gained 17lbs and Im nearing the end, I'l probably gain 25lbs total which isnt bad for a second pregnancy so I know its not "me" but the tummy itself is measuring at 4 weeks ahead of where it would normally be

I'm 25 weeks (tomorrow) and I have weekly appointments. At my appointment Monday, my stomach was measuring at 30 weeks. I've lost over 22 pounds. And no, I'm not obese in anyway. Start weight was 150.
The stomach measuring ahead doesn't really mean much.

There could be a lot of reasons you're measuring big other than baby's size...I've been measuring a few cm big most of my pregnancy. One of the midwives told me that different practitioners' measurements can vary, and it can be influenced by things like how much fluid you have, the position of your uterus, how much "extra stuff" you have there....etc.

Measuring your tummy is not that accurate. I wouldn't bet on actually being 4 weeks ahead.

This...I mean, just think about how tiny a centimeter is. There's no way everybody's belly is going to be the exact same measurement to the centimeter at the same point in their pregnancy. It's just a general guideline; my midwife said that the important part is that the number is increasing, not necessarily what the number is.
