Woot! No more post-mirena bleeding!

Yup! I finally stopped bleeding like a stuck pig today! No more pads, no more nothing!

I can get laid on Sunday now for sure! Juuuust waiting on the birth control pills to kick in.  

Just a small celebratory post.  

Lucky you lol! I have this weird bleeding, but I can't tell if its mirena- or cyst-related.

Are you taking pills as back up?

YAY! I thought I was done bleeding like 5 times, and then *BAM* bloody waterfall!!!!!

Pills are my primary form of BC now. I can't use spermicides or condoms because I break out in hives every time, don't ask me why. So as long as I wait til Sunday, I'm golden. I just need 7 days worth of pills in my system.  

May I ask what made you get your mirena out? I'm debating having mine taken out

Mood swings, weight gain and bloating, nausea, fatigue, pregnancy symptoms, pain during sex, bleeding after sex... the list goes on.

How long did you have it in? Mines been in two years and pretty much the past year I've been getting irrationally angry especially with my daughter for little things that is a normal part of being 2 years old :/. It makes me feel horrible, I never lose my temper with her but I feel like I start boiling inside! I never thought it may be due to the mirena until recently

I had it for almost a year... I started noticing the abnormal side effects about 4 months after it's insertion.

Yeah I have no clue when I started noticing them, because I never put two and two together thinking they may be from the mirena. I'm pretty tired a lot too, but havent noticed any symptoms regarding sex because I've been single since 4 months after I had mirena put in.

Tri-Sprintec. The package says 30 days but my Gyn said a week would be fine since I can't use any of the barrier methods. She said since I started the pills the same day the Mirena was pulled, it should be fine.

Yeah I despise the Mirena... I noticed when I started flying off the handle at SO for no reason. Toxic little piece of plastic...

Alright well I'm not having sex anyways so I'll just have it taken out! Lol

I'm glad I haven't had any weight gain tho, I've actually lost about 60lbs since I had my daughter (gained 26 during pregnancy) I'm wondering if I'll lose even more once it's out.

It sucked ass. I smurfing hated it, and I'll never recommend it to ANYONE. And getting it removed, because it had embedded somewhat, smurfing HURT.
