All she wants is her dad home from Iraq for Christmas

I can't watch this video because I know I'll start crying.

My husband was on the phone with our daughter a couple weeks ago and they were having a great, fun conversation. Then he asked her what she wanted for Christmas, and then fun/laughing stopped and she said, "I just want you to come home..." Then she started crying.  

So sad.

I'm so glad we didn't have any kids when DH was over seas...it would have been even harder.

Kieran started packing a bag this weekend and when I asked him where he was picking up G a friend of my husbands. Then going to the airport to Afsganistan to get daddy.   Ugh

Gah made me cry. Gotta go find a tissue

He'll be home February/March. So close, but yet, so far away. The first half went really fast, but now that it's holidays, it's even harder without him here and it feels like the days are just dragging on.

  Yeah, I feel like I've done a great job dealing with this deployment, but then when I realize how hard our daughter is taking it, I just fall apart.

This made me cry. The past 2 deployments was hard on me, but it was really hard on my 4 yr old and she would keep asking when daddy would come home and where he was. I would barely get out the words "He's at work baby" without tearing up. I'm so thankful those days are over.
The look on this little girls face when she sees its her daddy, it is perfect.
