i went to a routine high risk appt on tuesday, (i'm high risk due to chronic kidney disease, only one functioning kidney) anyway after the ultrasound the dr comes in and asks how long i have been in pain/having contractions, i had no clue and wasn't feeling anything! apparently they caught one on the ultrasound and my cervix was only measuring 1.5, he sent me straight to l&d to be monitored, there they gave me 2 shots of terb, 5 doses of indocin, and shots to help the baby's lungs develop (2 shots 24 hrs apart) i was discharged yesterday after he checked my cervix again and there was no change and i was still contracting, he sent me home on strict bed rest and procardia. anyone else have a similar story? my high risk dr and ob seem to think there's a good chance of this little guy making an early appearance. i will be 27 weeks tomorrow. also i am still experiencing some slight cramping/contractions but not timeable or intense is that normal even with being on the procardia?
TIA for any stories advice.

I had my 1st at 27 weeks, so with my 2nd I was closely monitored and got progesterone shots. At 25 weeks my cervix began to shorten and by 27 weeks or so it was 1.7 I think. It mgiht have been 1.5. I got steroid shots also and was put on bedrest. He stayed put until 37 weeks, so it's for sure possible!

I went into labor at 25.5 and my cervix went down to 1.9 but then back up a little to like 2.3 or something after some bedrest. I still had her at 28 weeks after my water broke. Everyone is different of course but thats just what happened to me

I went into labor with my second son at 25 weeks (both my boys were preemies) and was rushed to l&d where they gave me terb, the shots to make his lungs develop, and magnesium for 2 weeks then got sent home still having contractions and on strict bed rest. He was born at 33 weeks.
I went into labor with my first son at 20 weeks. and was in the hospital for a week and sent home on bed rest. He was born at 30 weeks.
