re: Best jogging stroller/ travel system?

IS there a big difference in the bee and the bee plus? Only good deals on Ebay are the Bee not the plus.

yup, the Bee Plus has a larger and adjustable seat, different canopy, a different way to reverse the seat, and i think thats it...correct me if im wrong chele, since uve had both.

I wouldnt say the Cameleon is bulkier and heavier than the Bee, lol it makes it sound so bad...its just larger and slightly heavier...there isnt a huge difference...but no its NOT a jogging stroller. I dont think ull fond any jogging stroller pretty...the most u can do is get liners for the BOB to make it pretty...but u want function more than looks if ur jogging right!

Of course lol. My last jogging stroller was a PITA. Seriously it was horrible, thats why Im thinking BOB this time around. But If I don't get a BOB and just end up leaving baby with daddy to go on my walks is a cameleon a better bargain? I can find deals for those on ebay, are their later models that are better though?

The Bee Plus is definitely worth the extra $$! S.daud covered all the differences, the only thing to add is the look of the wheels changed and with the new height adjustable seat back comes a non-rethreading harness.

Quoting CL & DJs Mommy:" .chele, do you reccomend the Bugaboo Bee or the Quinny Buzz? I saw that the Buzz has a higher weight limit, or is that just on the older models? I saw a Bee on ebay for 183!!"

I will recommend the Bee over just about any stroller. LOL It's definitely one of my favorites!!! The Quinny Buzz is a nice stroller...originally [with baby #3] we had a Bugaboo Frog and when comparing that with a Buzz, the Buzz had the upper hand. But, the Frog is now discontinued and we now have a Cameleon...which for me, beats out the Buzz.

Weight limits on either stroller have not changed.

Darn it!! the $200 one was NOT a plus and thats what I bragged to SO about. Now to convince him we need a $700 stroller once you add in shipping lol

So the cameleon is better than the buzz? I think I can get a used Cameleon for the same price as a new bee plus on ebay.

In my opinion. Yes!

The other thing to consider with the Buzz is that it's ONLY compatible with Maxi Cosi car seats [and Cybex]. However, the adapters are included...with the Cameleon they are sold separately.

Sorry I meant the cameleon is better than the Bee lol. These stroller names have me confused.

Would an older cameleon be the same as the 2012 models?

...ALSO. This is the OLD handle adjuster...strollers with this type of adjuster are between 5-7 years old [2005-2007]. This type of adjuster also means that the tires are most likely airfilled, instead of the current EVA foam tires. So if one pops, you might have slight difficulty replacing/repairing them.

This is the 2008-2012 adjuster. Ignore the red brake, it's an Australia thing...in the US they're white. The C3 adjusters look similar also, but offers notches & clicks [like on the Bee Plus] so that you know both sides are locked in at the same height.

I can't say it's better...but it's definitely different. They are just 2 different types of strollers!

Urban life, malls, parks I would choose a Bee. But if you spend a lot of time at the beach, hiking/trails, regularly walking more than 2 miles a day...etc. the Cameleon is the way to go. I have both, I can take some side by side pics if you want...

I run (before being pregnant) 30-40 miles a week and my hubby runs about 60-70. He takes the LO about once a week, I take her daily with the dog. For everyday stroller use I used the quinny travel system. For running I use the chariot, LOVE IT   now that we are expecting number two in a few weeks we got the double chariot... I can't wait to get back to the pavement

And FYI... you do NOT want a jogging stroller with a swivel wheel when jogging... you want a locked front wheel. So as long as the stroller has a locked or fixed front wheel option, that is good. That's all I have to say
