I like the boy name,girl name not so much.

Those names are definitely something you don't hear every day..

I always think it's a bad idea when you have to spell out how it's pronounced.

Are they trendy or from another country?

I tend to go with Scottish names, because hubby and i both have that background, and it does not matter what we think, they are your babies!

I freakin love them, especially Thuraya, but I slightly prefer it as Suraya.

I had to say them a couple times each, but I actually really like them both! They will have to correct a lot of people on the pronunciation, but it will be worth it when they realize the teacher can call their name without 5 other kids raising their hand. On top of it, they aren't made up names! That makes it all that much better.
I think you should stick with them, they are great names.
