Parents supporting bad behavior
posted 29th Nov
Ok so I don't have a teenage myself, but I have a little brother (16) that I have somewhat under my custody. We were switching schools because he's moved in with me now. I took him to the high school he will be attending, we were told to wait in the registration office. While we waited, we shared a table with another parent and her daughter. The daughter was going on about how she "whooped a girls ass" that morning for talking to her bf. she went into detail about how bad she "beat her ass" and the mom was condoning it. The kept laughing and thought it was funny she whooper her so bad. The moms response shocked the heck out of me, she said "yeah that bitch should have known better than to smurf with your man"
WTF?! How old is your child lady?! Couldn't have been older than 16. I was beyond baffled at the fact that some parents are actually for bullying. Is this why this generation is so violent?

It happens when immature people have kids sadly. They never are parents, but their friends.

Yeah that's pretty much how my mom is. All I can say is it's really going to bite her in the ass anytime her daughter doesn't agree with her (my 15 year old sister almost broke my mom's nose because they were arguing and my sister didn't want to listen).

that's not the sole reason people are violent at all, but it probably doesn't help.

Exactly.

That kind of things makes me sad for the child. She is going come of age and have no other option than to be an immature loser like her mom, because that's what she sees.

That is repulsive.
I would never defend my child if they started a fight, if they were defending themselves that is another story.. But people like said mother make me sick.

A lot of parents in the last couple of generations have tried to be cool with their kids and more of a friend than a disciplinarian. And that's probably why the mom was like that.
Although I do not think that has a factor in the violent behavior of kids. I think that has more to with desensitization of young children by watching violent cartoons, show and video games from a young age.

The only reason I called it bullying is because she also said "that white bitch was all scared and didn't wanna fight back"

It bugged me all day long. I was really disgusted. And suprized I guess. I couldn't even curse around my parents.
