How do you know if you have lost your mucous plug?

posted 29th Nov
I'm 34 weeks pregnant.
SO and I had sex the other night and it was really painful like my cervix was down really low or something.
Since then I have been having a lot of clear mucous coming out of my vagina when I wipe after using the restroom. It's like thick, clear mucous.
I haven't noticed this yet so I wasn't sure if it was normal.

I've been feeling a lot of pressure in my cervix and pelvic region. I've been getting period like cramps for the past two weeks.

You could be losing pieces of it slowly. If it doesn't look like the normal discharge you have, then it's most likely mucus plug.

Idk if that's it or not, but when I got my cervix checked I lost a tiny piece of my plug & since then I've had a mucussy discharge like you're describing.

Oh and your 34 weeks, don't worry about losing some of it. You lose some and it comes right back!

Mine was very obvious. It was a ton of gross, thick, snot-like stuff. I'd had thick discharge but it was nothing like my plug!

It doesn't matter if you lose your plug.. It regenerates. Is the bloody show that typically means its coming soon

My cervix always sits low with pregnancy so it is always kinda painful when SO and I have sex, and if he ejaculates inside then sometimes it looks like mucus coming out when I go to the bathroom. Ew I know..

I started loosing my plug around 32 weeks.. But when I was actually having my son, right after my water was fully broken, I got up out of the bed and the whole thing including bloody show plopped out. It was verrry snotty with strings of blood throughout it

I don't remember when I started losing my plug because that was 4 years ago. But I do remember it was brown, thick and jelly like and I lost it in small pieces.
