movement?

posted 29th Nov
I haven't really felt the baby move much today. I will be 36 wks tomorrow. I am already starting to dilate and thin. On tuesday i was at 1cm and 25%. Baby is engaged and low. I have tried to lay and do my kick counts throughout the day but can't tell if these upward pushes on my belly are him or contractions bc they are low. I have drank something cold, showered and ate and still haven't felt what is 'normal' for him. I called my doc and she said if i felt him even a few times it's ok and not to worrt. Ugh i just don't know. Does a decrease like this sound normal close to delivery?

You're still early and my Dr told me any decrease in movement to go get checked out. I would go in to L&D. Better safe than sorry.

My doctor said he is almost certain i will go early due to how low baby is and his size compared to mine. He said if i don't feel movement at all to come in, but didn't specify if it decreases what to do. :/

Im 38 weeks today and I feel the same way. He doesnt move often anymore. We have to remember they have little room now so it wont be as much as we are used to. The one time I was really nervous I ate a piece of super sweet, sweet potatoe pie and within minutes he was moving.

I would go in anyways & explain to him that you can't tell if it's the baby pushing up or contractions. Better safe than sorry, KWIM? Good luck, I'm sure everything is fine. But it's always good to know for sure.

Yeah thanks everyone. I just ate some chocolate and lounged diagonally on the couch and he went crazy. In 5 minutes i counted more than 6 jabs or w.e he was doing lol. Guess he wanted some sweets. God i had a heart attack..

Go get a stress test!!! Follow your instincts and never let your dr. make you feel like it's not important

Well I thought we had to do kick counts for a reason..10 kicks in 2hrs. Why wait until he's not moving at all if there is something wrong and can be prevented..that just doesn't sound right to me and I would be going to L&D right away. I'm not trying to scare you but something could be wrong that can be prevented. Good luck
