Single Parent?

So how exactly would this work. Obviously he isn't too happy with the break up. But it's been a long time coming because he's just not changing like he's promised me so many times, and I haven't been happy in a long time. So I broke up with him, for good this time, and I would let him try to guilt me into staying. I don't know how everything is going to work now. What about the kids? He tried saying (ha) that he was taking our oldest with him, and I shot that one down. He doesn't even have a place to stay, other than his friend's one bedroom apartment with his friend and his friend's girlfriend. No. And I really don't want to go through the whole custody smurf and that leading to child support because I just want him to straighten up for his girls and I want him to be able to see them because they love him and I know he loves them. I just don't know how this whole thing is going to work by ourselves.

Go to mediation. You can come to an agreement, they will document it to protect both parties, but it will be your guys decision.

Court would be your best bet honestly. I don't mess around with custody on my own cuz there is too much smurf that could happen.

He can technically take the girls since you all don't have a custody agreement. And nobody could do anything about it

  Completely agree. You NEED to do it through court so that way he can't pull any stupid smurf.

Contact the Juvenile courts. Google your countys name ____ juvenile courts.

YOU keep the girls. Don't let him take them or be alone with them so he is able to take them or he can't keep them away from you until court Go to court and work it out that way. They will give you temp custody until its fixed.  

I've been a single mom since day one. I'm in a custody battle. Yick but ya know. Do what's best for the babies.
