Women do the same thing but in those cases, the men don't have a way out if she decides to go through with the pregnancy. It's smurffy on both sides--when men and women both do it.

But in the cases of when men don't want children, they should be responsible for their own BC.

If I was on birth control, then I'd be adament about NOT having babies (can't get tubes tied), then I'd probably abort. I thought we were having PROTECTED sex. I'd leave my SO for lying to me.

Someone brought up a good point about it being tampering with someones meds if they messed with the BC pills, I think thats a really grey area - the condom thing, yeah I don't think anyone could get in trouble there, but I am seriously clueless as to the laws when it comes to messing with someones medicines, because if there ARE laws, this seems like it would fall under it.

Morally, I don't think it's right whether it's the man or woman doing it and lying, but that's just a thought I had with this situation.

If this happened to ME (which I don't see myself ever saying no to a baby  ) I would definitely be keeping the baby and I probably wouldn't leave, but there would be counseling involved because there would be some serious trust issues to make up for.

Yeah, see, thats my only "maybe." I mean, if you tampered with someones pills for an illness, and that caused them harm, you'd be in big trouble. So, is a baby "harm?" I mean, by messing with their medication you caused them to get pregnant and incur the costs and risks associated with that. If we were talking about a diabetic who became very ill because someone messed with their insulin, it would be a no brainer.

Exactly. I think someone would need to make an actual court case of this for there to be some kind of legal ruling here because I can;t seem to find anything about birth control specifically.

A woman with endometriosis who uses BC could be negatively affected if the BC was switched. Or a woman with a history of ectopic/ high risk pregnancies.

Exactly. That's sort of my point. I could see how it could fall under that. Then again, I supposed the opposite would be saying that (as far as history of ectopic or high risk pregnancy) that becoming pregnant was still a risk, even when on BC, and thus a risk the person took when having sex.

I'm not saying that's right, or would work, but it's the logical argument against them being in trouble for it.

It's for sure a legal grey area I think. . .

I agree. I can definitely see both sides of the issue, and I'm not saying a man should or shouldn't be charged, but messing with someone's meds like that could really screw someone's health.

Sadly, I have heard of situations of SOs screwing with their girlfriends' BC.

I guess it would matter how long and how well i though i knew the person. Like some random guy i started dating that turned into a sycopath (sorry about misspelling) and tampered with my pill to try to get my pregnant i would probably end up keeping the baby, but would press charges if i could. But if it was my Fiance of 4 years and is the father of my child, he wants another child and i am unsure at the moment if the timing is right id be pissed at him for it. but probably wouldn't press charges

I'd leave his nutty ass.
I have no idea what I'd do about the pregnancy.

And I probably wouldn't press charges tbh.
