College Mommies

So, yesterday I took what's called a COMPASS test (to see what classes I needed to be for Spring). Well, I brought up my English score that I may end taking an advance class like English 105 instead of 101 or 102. I didn't plan on testing in that area but I did just to see if I could bring up my previous scores by 47 points and I did. I am still needing a reading class but I can retest and and try to bring my score up 1 pt that way I don't have to take the reading class. Well, I am thinking maybe I should try my luck at the Math but Math has always been my worst subject. So, what do you all think? Test in math for smurfs and giggles just to see or not?

It depends, do you have to take a lot of math courses?
I'm bad at math and knew that if I placed out of the lower level classes it would hurt me for the higher classes because I would be lost. I'm good and standardized tests but bad at actual math...so I took the lower level classes so that I would know what was going on later.

I was always crap at math too but I tested for Math and I was able to test out of the basic math classes and into Stat which was the only math I needed for my previous degree... but now since DS I'm going to go back to school for dentistry so I'll prolly need a different/ another math

5 math classes if I score high. Which is what I am looking at now. If I can bring it up now than I could only be have take 2 less.

I didn't even test for math because I am not 'bad' at it, but have been out of hs for awhile now and don't remember anything. So I will be taking a lower level class next semester so I will have some clue what's going on.

I understand math but no patience for it what so ever. So, when I test I tend to rush through it because I don't like it. I don't like math test don't mind learning but really don't want a yr and a half of math classes

Since you understand it I would say try to sit through the test and place out, especially if you're paying for your classes.

Well student aid but I will have to pay it back as a part of my loans

That sounds like a great idea. I know how the tests suck but when it comes to paying back loans they are worth it lol
