Would you be able to not say anything?

My SIL is pregnant with her first child. She keeps talking about how her baby is leaching off of her nutrients and its disturbing to her. So today shes mentioning that she felt the baby move for the first time last night, and she said its disturbing and is like a creepy scene from a sci fi movie and shes the victim. Would that bother you? I was told I couldn't get pregnant and by miracle did so I thought every little thing about my pregnancy was amazing. I'm trying not to freak out on her. But to me she is calling her own baby disturbing. Am I taking this too far or would you think the same thing?

Not everyone is super excited about being pregnant, not every woman enjoys it. Let her feel how she wants. You saying something is not going to change how she feels. She needs to bond with her baby in her own way, in her own time. Nothing wrong with that.

I wouldn't say anything,because everyone isn't going to be happy pregnant. I would let her be.

Everything she's saying is true. Some people are really disgusted by pregnancy. I'd keep my mouth shut.

I think you're seriously over reacting. Not everyone thinks pregnancy is awesome. Just because you feel that way doesn't mean she has to.

I know a lot of women like that. My mom was like that about breastfeeding and all of my sisters think pregnancy is disturbing and "gross" I don't agree with it, but you can't change the way someone feels so saying something would just cause problems. It used to annoy me though when I was pregnant because my sisters (who are younger and have no children) would see my belly move and say it was disgusting and freaky. I usually kicked them out and made them go home when they started that.

My SO bitched at me for calling Silas a parasite.. because technically he is lol. Not everyone feels the same way about pregnancy, I wouldn't say anything. I tell my SO all the time that the only good thing is feeling him move, and having him after it's over lol. Everything else can go the hell away
