If you had a preemie

At 7 months of gestation (or know someone who did) how much did the baby weigh? My sister was and she was 5lbs even, isn't that huge for a preemie?

could have been a big baby or just the due date was off
either way happy for her having a healthy baby even it was early!

Yeah that is a healthy size! My 38 weeker was 5lbs lol

I had my DD at 33 weeks. She was 4lbs. 8oz.

That's huge! My 32 and 34 weekers were 4 lbs and 4 lb 10 oz

I had my DD @ 32 weeks. She was 5 lb 4 oz. (I had gestational diabetes) she had lots of issues and stayed in the hospital 7 weeks 6 days!

My boys were 2 lbs 15 oz and 3 lbs 1 oz born at 31 weeks. They might be smaller because they were twins, though.

My mom had me at 37 weeks and i was only 4lbs. 5lbs at 7months g.a. is healthy considering newborn sized diapers start at 5lbs. Sounds like a really good size for that age.

Mine was born at 27 weeks and was 2lbs 15oz.

My best friend had her first at 31 weeks and some change and she was 2 lbs 14 oz. I'd say 5 lbs is really big for being so early lol. That baby would have been a little chunker if she went to term. But like someone else said, maybe her due date was off.

my 37 weeker was 4 15.

My first 36 weeker was 5 lbs 6 oz. My second 36 weeker was 4 lbs 8 oz.

Lol thanks, my sister is 13y/o but I was just thinking about it and how normal it is to have a baby that big. My mom was extremely high risk as she had had a liver transplant just 3 years before the pregnancy. So I doubt that the due date was wrong since she was seen by a lot of specialists and very good doctors.

my little cousin was born at around 6 months and he was 3 pounds, then dropped to one pound. he now a smart healthy happy 11 yr old!
maybe baby was big? or dates were off?
