I don't think it's wrong for parents to do that and do you think you were overthinking those things because of the past accusation?
I honestly think you should give him the benefit of the doubt if you love him and he's been a good father. Just because he's been molested doesnt mean he's going to do it to his daughter.
Maybe your mom was just paranoid because she was thinking the same way you are?

Honestly, my mother was molested by her father and my grandmother knew about it and she has never molested any of her children or my nephew. My father's sisters were molested by their father, his mother knew about it, and he has never molested my sisters or I. He actually is not affectionate whatsoever because of what happened to his sisters. In fact, it made my mother to where she strived to be a better parent because of her experiences as a child.

If there is no proof that your father molested you, you don't ever remember being molested, etc...There isn't much to go off of. If he was found not guilty of it, then...He probably wasn't guilty of it. But being molested as a child does not make you more likely to molest your children/other children. I think that whole line is bogus and just an excuse that some offenders use to try to gain sympathy for what they did.

For him staring at your boobs, do you think he's staring at your boobs because of what you have been told or is he actually? I've looked at my dads butt before. Not in a sexual way, but if he walks by and my eyes are where he's walking..I'll catch myself and then make a comment about how he has a "back with a crack" or about how my sister inherited his lack of butt.

I was molested by my half brother and so was my little brother. My half brother was molested by his mom's dad.

But I do agree just because your molested doesn't mean your going to do it to someone else. I could never do that to my children or anyone!
