at starbucks a cup of DARK bold coffee only has about 75mg, the light blonde roaste can have up to 150.
one shot of espresso has 75mg...

OP i work at starbucks and through out my pregnancies i had a at least 2-3 shots of espresso almost everyday.. some days id drink 2 caffenated shots and 3 decaf shots so i got more coffee flavor..

my manager told me she was drinking quad shots daily.. she never had issues... drinking a Smurf TON could have some side effects... but a cup or 2 isnt gonna do anything.

coffee is only a nono during pregnancy if u are dehydrated or have low fluid level. as long as u are drinking plenty of water daily , coffee can actually be benificial to your health and help u stay alert and be less clumbsy. your dr is obviosly ''old school'' and not up on current research. get yourself a dang cup of coffee.

I feel your pain and I'm only 13 weeks. I need caffeine to have enough energy to get everything done. I feel so sleepy and unmotivated I try to only have caffeine 3 days a week and its rough!

They say one cup a day is ok. I would just take a trip to a coffee shop or gas station and get one!

My dr told me to drink coffee to help with my headaches....he said a cup a day wont hurt anything. To hell if my SO would be keeping me from that.

I've been craving coffee like crazy.. Coffee with the new holiday creamers or the cold Starbucks coffee in the jar... Mmm! I am 26 weeks I haven't had a coffee for a few weeks but I do drink a medium sized coffee every once in awhile from the gas station. Or I'll mix hot chocolate with a cappachino. One cup is just fine though, it isn't going to hurt anything.
