Ahaha im lame. Srs. I am shy as hell. Anyway my midwife invited me to a playdate. She invited all of her old clients. Well I talked to one of the girls a bunch. We exchanged numbers so I could buy diapers from her. Is it weird to ask her to hang out? I mean she's on my facebook so it is fine right? Lol I a so socially awkward with other moms, please dont laugh. You would think im asking someone to prom or something :-/

Heck, just be like... "Hey ------, I'm really bored today, want to go get a coffee or something to eat? I'm sick of sitting at home."

I'm totally the same way. Just ask her if whatever time is good for a play date!

I used to be very shy until I met my husband and saw how effortlessly he engaged with people. When we moved to a new town I made a conscious effort to just say "Hi, how are you doing this morning?" to the mom's at school because I knew if I didn't, it would be a lonely existence.

What's the worst that'll happen? She'll be a stuck up prude and say no? Who wants friends like that anyway? Chances are she'll be just as happy to get out and have a tea as you.
