I would share it with my parents. Not with my brothers since they would just blow it on games. I would pay my parents mortgage off so they could stop struggling.

I would definitely share it with both sides of the family. You sound pretty ridiculous! That is a smurf ton of money and enough to give everyone a portion. My Uncle won a small lottery, something like $30,000 and gave every family member some of it. He has 5 nephews and 7 nieces, we all got a couple hundred  

I would share. I would probably put my sister through college as well as my children and pay off my mothers bills so she could retire. Thats all the family I have though

I think you were all acting stupid. You honestly couldn't give a part of 550 million to your fmaily and your Husband's family? Come on now. You'd have a hard time spending that much money. Buying a car for your kids, buying them houses and putting them through College would not even make only a tiny dent. You all need to re-evaluate what comes out of your mouth. You're family.

I would help out my family, pay off their houses and other debt, heck I would help my close friends too. 550 mil even after taxes taken out, I wouldn't be able to keep it just for myself or kids.

We've discussed this. Each of our mom's get 2 mil, our son get a mil in the bank, we buy a house, and pay off DHs student loans. The rest we put in the bank and DH said he'd take a vacation but then go back to work.
