Mirena Question

I got Mirena yesterday and asked my doctor how long to wait to have sex. She said maybe a couple days after the cramping stops or whenever I feel ready. Do any of you ladies have the Mirena and how long did you wait?? Because I hardly have any cramping and I'm ready but I want to be careful. Thanks!

I told DH It wouldn't happen for a while because I was cramping so much

Doc told me that it was Effective Immediately BUT to use condoms for about 6 Weeks to be sure it didnt slip or fall out. I went back in the 6 weeks and everything was good, but I did the deed the day after getting it inserted. lol...
