SO & I don't talk to our exes just out of mutual respect for each other.

Myself i find it causes problems but each person has their own opinion

I no longer talk to my exes because DH was getting himself into trouble texting other girls. So, I deleted all guys out of my phone and facebook. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

my husband talked to his ex a couple times....she is the mother of his kids but she doesnt have custody. Shes actually a drug-addicted stripper who's been in and out of jail her whole life. Anyways, my point here is my husband talks to her if / when he wants to regardless of how i feel about it. If I ever did that, he'd be pissed.

DH dated like every girl in his highschool and of course, he's fb friends with all of his highschool (very small, like 8 people in his graduating class). I don't care. He wouldn't have married me if he wanted someone else. I still talk to one of my ex's and don't tell DH about it, I know it's wrong not to tell him but he's in a different state and nothing would ever come of anything. I honestly don't know if DH would have an issue with me talking with any of my ex's. Probably not, but he sometimes gets jealous about things that I wouldn't even think about.

I think it totally depends on how serious the relationship was and if your SO is okay with it. He has a couple ex's he talks to that I'm okay with and some I'm not okay with, and vice versa. I think the key is to see how your SO feels about it and be totally honest about it.

I am friends with one of my Ex's. and his mom. We were together off and on for 4 years in school and he was my best friend. Even when we weren't together.

DH has no friends as Ex's, but he is friends with the girl he had a major crush on through school.

Other than that, no. And the reason school aged crap is involved is because DH and I have been together since our senior year.

one i dont really count as an ex though , we were like 12/13 lol and it lasted a month. hes been my neighbor since then.

the other one, was like 9months, we were 15'ish and he was a smurffy person back then, so SO doesnt have to worry about anything & he knows this.

My DH and I were both still friends with a couple exes at first. Our rule was, as long as the exes were respectful, it was ok, but as soon as they crossed any lines they had to go. Well within a year of us being together we had completely stopped talking to them. They had all crossed a line at some point.

I'm really good friends with an ex. I've never really had a problem with bf's caring until my last SO. It actually ended our relationship because I was stubborn and refused to end the friendship. I care alot about my most current ex and don't know why I was so damn stubborn  

If no children were involved, then I see no reason to carry on a friendship. To me that is just mutual respect for your current SO. I mean, obviously if you seen them in a store or something, I don't see anything wrong with a very brief conversation. If my ex-husband and I didn't have kids, he'd be the very last person I would ever talk to on this earth.

I try not to dictate who my boyfriend speaks to. I trust him enough to not care if he talks to them. However, the majority of his exs have mental/drug issues so I don't think he would want to talk to them anyway.

I keep in touch with about two of my exs. We were really good friends beforehand and just because we didnt make it as a couple, we are certainly able to be just friends. I wouldnt go out and hang out with them alone of anything...but a "how are you" on facebook is nothing bad.

I don't really talk to any of my exes because I didn't really end on good terms with any of them. Fot r DH, though, it's different...he's from a really small town where everybody is friends with each other so he's still friendly with his exes from high school. This bothered me a little at first but once I got to know them, I was fine with it. He doesn't text them or talk to them a lot but we'll see them at group gatherings and they're FB friends and everything. I've actually come to really like several of them. He dated them years ago. He did have one serious relationship in college and that girl he doesn't talk to anymore, which I'm glad for.

So, they're not close friends I guess...that might be different. If I caught him talking to one privately or hanging out with one without me around, it would probably be different.
