Santa question

posted 29th Nov
How do you decide what gifts are from Santa, and which are just from you?

I didn't really buy LO any "big" gifts, so it's not like there's really something special I can say is from Santa (he got a kitchen last year, and a power wheel for his birthday).

Do you just split it up? If you get your kids two of the same thing, like, I got him two different Transformer Rescue bots.. would you make them both from you/Santa, or one from each?

Idk why I'm making this harder than it has to be lol

I don't write who they are from because DS recognizes my writing haha so we just leave them blank and come up with it as we go... it is kind of a fly by night operation on christmas morning at our house lol

It depends on what it is. We try to make the biggest thing from
Santa cause that way it's the most excitin one. Or if there's a you she specifically asked Santa for I try to make it that one. But we chose the best gift to be from
Santa in case someday we couldn't afford a big Christmas at least she wouldn't be disappointed by Santa. But I think it changes year to year based on what we are getting her. For example we got her an innotab this year and aren't making that from Santa because then all te accessories would jargon be from
Santa cause she's getting old enough to put two and two together. And our family can buy her accessories if they want without her being like "how'd u know Santa was getting me that". So I still don't know what's going to be from Santa. Well probably decide once we get everything and sort through it.

my parents used different gift tags and my mom took them to work and had her co-worker write the to/from!

My kids get one gift from Santa. I think my boys are getting a lot of hot wheels & a ballapalooza. But I might be getting them a powerwheel and saying that's for them both from Santa.

Every present he gets is from Santa. That is how we always did it growing up, so that is what I do too.

Well obviously the bigger items come from Santa. But for your other example like two of the same type of toy, they all come from the same person. Me or Santa. Last year he got a Pirate ship play set and then pirates to play with his ship. Santa brought all of that and a new DS game and some clothes. Mommy got him some other clothes and other random items.

Oh and Santa always has different paper and NO gift tags (Or didn't when DS was an only child cuz it was easy) but I figure Santa will just have to switch up his handwriting every year like he did when I was a kid.

A great way around this is to buy wrapping paper with Santa on it and say Santa doesn't have time to write it out and leaves it to mommy to write it. More than one kid? Two different Santa papers

My mom had to do that for me when I was a kid too... maybe I should do that and yeah Santa has to have different paper then mom and dad too becuase they figured that one out fast!!
