Water leaking?

How do I tell? I know they say to put on a panty liner or pad? For how long?

I've felt more discharge this morning, than I have this entire pregnancy. There hasn't been a gush but when I cough, more comes out.

Does it look like pee or smell like pee?

I leak sometimes when I get up but I'm almost positive it's pee leaking because of DDs position and my weak bladder. I would think your water would still leak if you were doing nothing not only when you're putting pressure on it by coughing.

It's probably pee. I thought i was leaking with my daughter and I rushed to l&d just to find out I had been peeing myself all morning. Smell it, it will either smell like pee or sweet, which would be amniotic fluid.

I leak pee all the time.

i leaked pee a lot but when i did go into labor my water leaked until it was gone and i started getting contractions thats how i knew i was in labor . i put a pad on and it would constantly be wet no matter how many times i changed it. my stomach also started shrinking to where i could visibly tell. i peed myself all the time lol your probably doing the same. not shure about just leaking because with both of my previous babies when my water broke there was a pop and it gushed out like i broke a water baloon and it gushed with every contraction after that but i also have precipitious labor (under 3 hours ) so it all came on quick and strong .

its so funny how that works. i waited and waited for my water to break and then it just leaked haha i was kind of upset because i didnt get to feel what my water breaking felt like but at the same time i was thankful because i was wearing my good pants. i also had my son on his due date. went into labor at 830pm the night before and he was out at 1035 the next morning

The nurses at the L&D told me to wear a pad for 1 hr unless it soaked through before then. Either at the end of the hour or when you soak it through you can take it in to be tested.

They say that it smells really sweet. Put a liner on for a hour and see if u fil it.
