Spotting Update!

posted 1st Jun
I just found out yesterday that I am PG. But I had some spotting yesterday, very very little though, the one time that there was more it was about the size of a quarter and browwnish in color. This is normal right? especially if this would have been the time I got my period?? any answers would be great!

Update: today I am having more spotting that I was yesterday, it is still brownish. What should I do? call the doc, take another test? what if I take another test and its negative? would that mean I had an early miscarriage?? I'm nervous, I don't want to do through all this again!

Some spotting is normal in the beginnig, as long as you dont have severe cramping or bright red bleeding I wouldn't worry. Congrats by the way !

Congrats!! At the beginning I would spot right after sex.

Just around the time you expect your period you may spot but if any concern make sure you call your dr or ER

It is very normal hun, don't worry. Brown indicates old blood so that is nothing to worry about.

I had the same thing: brown spotting that lasted for 2 days. This is my first pregnancy, so I panicked and called my Dr. He couldn't get me in, so I went to the ER. I knew I was overreacting, but I just wanted some peace of mind. They gave my an u/s, pelvic exam, and did a ton of bloodwork. At the end of the day, they told me spotting is perfectly normal, unless you are having severe pain and heavy bleeding. On the bright side, I got to see the our little baby bean's strong heart flickering, and left with a big cheesy smile
