Well I think in our state if one parent has one kid and the other has the other support stops sense we each have a kid. However, I'm not sure til the letters are wrote and the progess is started.

Just wanted to say good luck. My step-father talked my mother into trying to get child support out of my father even after I was smurfing married and I just felt so awful. I hope you can sort it out soon. You'd think your husband would want money to support his kids instead of just handing it off to his ex.

I think he wants the money but he is scared that if we stop it now that he will have to pay more when its set back up for his son in October 2013 if his son doesnt move in before then. He's paid it on time every week for the last 13 years its what his normal is. SO I really see both sides of it. But on the money side I want that money lol.

for starters, you should contact your local child support office.

I did that on monday. They said my husband and step daughter both need to write letters to the judge stating that she lives here and my husband need to state in his letter he wants support stopped. But it can't be stopped til they change the custody agreement sense she is still in school. My husband just hasnt done it yet.

well tell him to get on it! haha i think, like you said, if you can get the papers ready, all he has to do is sign them and deliver them where necessary   good luck! hope it works out
