re: planned 2nd time c-sec mums

This is EXACTLY how I felt. As much as I wanted my VBAC, I didn't want to risk all that, just to end up in an emergency situation again. I was insulin dependent gestational diabetic both times though, so not allowed to go over my due date which made things more complicated.

Were you induced with your first?

I strongly suggest if you want a successful VBAC, don't even think about induction. I think that with no medical issues, you're allowed 10 days overdue? Schedule your cesarean for that last safe date and go ahead with it, if your body hasn't laboured naturally, by then.

i was in labour for about an hour so my OB thought she would do a stretch and sweep. then 3 days later when they were getting really irregular she decided to put me on pitocin for 1.5 days broke my water then 3 hours later she was like "oh guess she got stuck lets do a csec" (she knew DD was posterior as midwives and dr told her, but she refused to believe it or check)

I was uneducated and didnt realise i could say no to all the inductions etc... wish i had known i had a choice.. but i mean a week before i was in labour she had me sign the consent form for a c-sec which now i look back on and think wtf , why would she do that before i was in labour  


I think maybe ill try EPO and stuff to give me my best shot at a VBAC... i think a c-sec scares me more than a VBAC
