Flu shot (Poll)

posted 28th Nov
Sorry for posting so much tonight. But BD took DS to the doctor today and he got the flu shot. I personally didn't want him to ahve it because personally I think he will be more likely to get it. Has anyone had the flu shot this season and gotten or not gotten the flu?

I never had bothered with it since high school. I got it every time I got the shots, so I quit getting them

I don't do the flu shot. Too many people I know get the Flu when they get the shot. I've never had the shot, and I've had the flu a handful of times in my life.

My mom got it a few weeks ago. And she's sick with a bad cold now. It happens to her every year. I refuse to get one.

The flu shot doesn't give you the flu. The reason why some people say they got the flu when they got the shot was because they probably got infected with the a different strand, not protected by the shot.

I quit taking the flu shot like 5 years ago. I got the flu this year for the first time since I stopped.

My daughter and I got it after she was born and we both ended up in the hospital. Since then I refuse to get either of us the flu shot. She is 4 now and has not been sick with the flu like she did when she got the shot.

I usually don't bother but for DS I got one and I didnt get sick at all (a lot of times after flu shots or vaccines I'll feel a little groggy and sick for a few days)

Then I guess it's luck that I went a few years without getting flu after I sworn then off. I didn't get it again until I got pregnant again.

I've never gotten the shot, ever. I've also never had the flu, ever. Shared drinks with people who had it, took care of them, never got it. Same with strep. *knock on wood*

It may have no basis in science, but all I know is the one time i got the flu shot, I ended up with the worst flu I have ever had in my life.
No way am I or my LO getting one this season. Or ever, lol. Vaccines scare me in general.

Exactly another reason I won't get the shot.

It only protects me from some strands. I know they evolve everyday and blah blah blah but not worth it. Shots scare me in the first place lol
