Exima (sp?)

posted 28th Nov
DS just got diagnosed with exima (not sure if that's the right spelling) but he has it one his butt cheecks. (I've posted about it before). Any other babies have this anywehre else? The doctor said we have to use eucerin skin cream because nothing else will work. That makes sense because when he was 6 months to a year old he would get diaper rashes so bad we would have to get a perscription cream on them. I was just wondering afer the first one heals how often I can expect break outs or what will trigger it. Any mommy's dealing with this whether with themselves or their kids?

my 5 year old has dealt with Eczema since she was 11 months old. and it was on her legs only (just dry skin) its ten thousand times worse now and we ahve tried every lotion cream ointment and trick we have been told about. i was told to try the eucerin cream and it didnt help her at all and we have to cover in vaseline. but m daughter has a severe case and its not very common.

I have severe eczema. I am on a bunch of scripts and steroid creams.

I would not use the eucerin personally. I use Vanicream, it is all free and clear of all dyes and perfumes. You can get it off the shelf at Target or have any pharmacy order them in for you w/their next shipment.

My son has had it for months. The doctor told me to put hydro cream on it. It never went away. That is until one week I quit taking him to my grandmothers and it completely disappeared! She feeds him tons different fruits. The only fruit I eat at home are apples. I know I'm weird but its allergy related, and I never knew. I need to get him in for allergy testing!

It shouldnt have burned, there is nothing in it that would make you have a burning sensation. That is odd.

well i quit trying it on her and went abck to the vaseline which she complains is too greasy and hates too. my daughter does NOT like keeping creams on and would prefer to sit and scratch off her skin
