Due April 3rd..

Like it said I'm due April 3rd with another Boy. I went today to the doctors and she informed me that they had received the results of my sonogram on Monday. They were mainly concerned with how low my placenta was..I have never heard of it being low and didn't realize it was an issue. She didn't explain much either, just said they would schedule another sonogram for me on the week of my 24 weeks mark. She said they want to track it to see if it moves in the right direction and doesn't cover my cervix.

Is there anything I can do to help it move up rather than down? Has anyone had this issue? I'd rather have him vaginally like I did with my first son rather than have a csection  

Its called Placenta pervia...I had it. In most women it fixes itself at around 20 weeks. my doctor didnt even tell me I had it, I found out when I went to the hospital because I was bleeding so much I thought I miscarried(caused by the low lying placenta). Theres nothing you can do but wait and see if it moves on its own(most likely it will). If it doesn't then you will have to have a c-section. I wouldn't worry unless it hasn't moved at your next ultrasound.

Is it possible that where it is might cause cramping if I sit certain ways? I was going to ask my doctor today, but it wasn't my usually doctor and she seemed really hurried and made me nervous.

Idk...I never experienced cramping with it, just bleeding. Call your dr tomorrow and ask.

Hey, my 3rd is due April 5th..... My placenta isnt low but also getting cramping if i sit certain ways. I mentioned it to my midwife and she just said i'm probably just not giving my growing belly enough space (i generally sit with my legs tucked up under my bum lol) .... Not much help on the placenta front though i'm afraid x

I went back for a sonogram today and they said although my placenta was still low it had moved up even to take the concern of the previa away. Thank god for that. My midwife said the same thing about the cramps, she said its how I sit (which is usually Indian style or on one foot)
