To be fair the saint issa smurf is based on the word of Nicolas Notovitch alone, and not considered reliable.

Jesus died nearly about 40 years before the first gospel was penned, so there were no eyewitness sources. The information is based on simply oral tales being handed down, and subject to some levels of alteration.

If you discount the birth narratives as pure fiction which most scholars do, then there were no missing years. The birth narratives follow the ot hero motifs simple put it. People place too great a stock on something that fails independent attestation.

These people (notable archaeologists and professors) say it could be true. What happened in the years not covered in the Bible? There's 18 years missing. One chapter, he is in the temple at age 12 and the next he is being baptised at age 30.

The inconsistencies of the birth of jesus being either during the reign of herod or during the census of quirinius, The fact that the synoptic gospels give different days for arrest. Jesus', the fact that each gospel records different people at the tomb, the fact that the death of judas is given 2 different reasons in 2 different books etc etc etc

That's the point I'm trying to make. It's not considered a historical story, and thus there are no missing years. No credible archaeologist or new testament textual critic takes the India claim with any level of seriousness.

False. He's a completely fictional character.

I don't believe there is any proof of it.. but I choose to have faith and blindly believe.

I honestly do believe, even though logically, it doesn't make much sense.

I've always appreciated your blunt honesty, you never seem afraid of it like so many other theists are; those who try to justify their faith with a lot of mental gymnastics seem weaker in their faith than others like you. They are trying too hard and their efforts don't even really accomplish anything of value because many theistic beliefs simply truly do defy logic. It is what it is. And it's something that is an integral part of having faith itself, to continue having faith in spite of everything that appears the contrary.

Applying logic to a god belief is something that is more compatible with deism than theism, imo, anyway.

I've never heard of any proof. Hear-say yes, but nothing else.

But, even if there is proof that he lived, there is no proof that he was born of a virgin, preformed miracles and is the Son of God. People believe that through faith.
