The bible is parabolic not literal....it was never meant to be the literal truth.

No it is meant to be the literal truth. There are certain parts, especially when a person is speaking that can be taken as metaphors(The Parables of Jesus), but the describing of actual events is meant to be taken in a literal sense.

Jesus' life wasn't a parable. The things that are parables, were told as such.

I've already looked at all of the "comparable" stories that others have mentioned in this thread and I have found them to be untrue.

How do you explain the historic inaccuracies?

Each "inaccuracy" needs to be addressed alone.

Which ones are you speaking of?

How do you know that the other stories are untrue? Brahma stated in the Bhagavad Gita that it was the truth and the birth of Krishna and his death are said to be true in all accounts of his life.

Just done a ton of reading.

The Bible feels right, seems right and sits well with me when I read it. I've had very serious debates regarding "proof" and all of that jazz.

I'm a little burned out with the debate of it all.

If Jesus lied about who He was, thenyou He wasn't a "good" man. He was a liar ...or crazy....and I believe He was neither a liar ir crazy.

The prophecy in the Bible alone, is overwhelming to me.

I personally believe that Jesus was alive, but that he was an incarnation of Brahma sent to teach the Jews and Gentiles about love and peace. Have you heard of Saint Issa? It's what some scholars call the Lost Years of Jesus, where someone born at the same time of Jesus of Nazareth went to India and proclaimed to be the Son of God and taught the love of one God.

There was a manuscript found in the Himylayas that talks about a man of Arab descent that told the swamis to preach to people love and joy every day and not just on holy days. It also talks about a man named Issa that told them to stop sacrificing humans and animals to their gods.

It's really fascinating because, well, there are 18 years of his life missing from the Bible and the Silk Road was well travelled by the time of his supposed birth. It's believed that the Magis who came to see him at his birth had travelled the Silk Road from Tibet. It's also well documented that Thomas died in India after living there for 20 years. It would have had to have been after the death of Jesus.
