Went into full blown labor at 1 am, water broke, fully dialated, had him faster than I could blink by 6 am. At 33 weeks   he was actually doing really well went off all of his oxygen stayed in room with me for a couple of hours, everything was great. Then he started holding his breath... Fml..... Then he had 2 seizures, so they transported him to the big nicu that's 45 minutes away. I'm just so overwhelmed right now     any advice on a 33 weeker??

I'm so sorry! I was born at 29 weeks and was in the nicu for awhile but had not other problems. He'll be alright, just try not to stress so much! ):

33 weekers typically do really well! Just get over this little hiccup, and I'm sure he'll be just fine!

My son was born at 33 weeks and 4 days, he was on a ventilator, had terrible jaundice, and spent 19 days in the NICU. He's about to turn 10 in January, and you'd never even know he was premature!

Good luck momma! I'll keep him in my thoughts!

My daughter was born at 32 weeks. She also had seizures. She was born July 6 and came home October 24. She's tiny now at 16 months old. She weighs 16 pounds. She still has seizures but they're slowly getting less frequent. Other than that she is doing amazing

Sorry Mama   I had a 35 weeker had to get air flown to a bigger hospital 4 hours so I know how hard it is to be far from home with a new baby who has a little issue. Hope your LO comes home quickly. Stay positive he is in good hands.

my 32 weeker stayed in the hospital 7 weeks 6 days. Life in the nicu is a roller coaster. You will have ups and downs! My moods swings were related to how she was doing. If she had a bad day so did I, if she had a good day so did I. I shed lots of tears! The nurses turned into family! I relied on a lot of prayers and my faith!

Take a deep breath and try to calm down momma! My son was born at 26 weeks 5 days (9/28/12) and is still in the NICU. It's unlikely that your DS will have an extended stay, but they do sometimes have to stay until their due date, it all depends on how long it takes to get his apnea under control and diagnose what's causing his seizures.

Once he comes home, there won't be much difference then with a normal FT baby except that depending on his length of stay, he may need lots of noise around him to sleep.

Be sure to ask every question that you can think of, and become familiar with everything that is happening with your son. Once I got comfortable with everything, and started changing diapers and starting his feedings, I became a lot less stressed about the situation because I could help take care of him.

Familiarize yourself with NICU terminology and try to be there every day for rounds if you can. I live 1.5 hours from my son's NICU, so this isn't possible for me. Google everything that you don't understand. When you know everything the nurse and doctor's are saying without having to ask a million questions, everything becomes much less scary.

Good luck with your DS and if there's any specific things you would like answered, please just let me know!!!
