Embarrassing because she put it all on FB for everyone to see. Especially stupid pictures with lies on them. So I would say some pretty harsh things to her about it a few times, she got butthurt and delete the thread after a while...

My mom's thing is if it doesn't apply to her she doesn't care to educate Herself, but then she will talk like she knows... whereas I feel that I can hear someone's beliefs and say "I accept you believe that" but still not ever consider it as an opinion for me. If that makes sense.

My mom just shuts down whenever I hit her bullsmurf with the truth stick, she just says "Well I don't bash your beliefs, I love you" [implying my atheism, as she is still a nondenominational Christian and never understands a damn thing about me] ... like WTF does that have to do with you helping to spread lies about Muslims or Jews or Obama?

That would be the case of a gnostic which I fall into. Gnostics don't believe in the god of any religion but instead embrace the concept the to know yourself or self realization is also to know God because the belief is the self is a piece of God.
