Uhh NO!

posted 28th Nov
Today one of my friends called me and asked if my son was home and i told him yeah. Well he said this little girl that is in his class at school wants to talk to him. He said she was going to ask him to be her boyfriend. Uhm wtf. NO! My son is 4 years old, he doesn't need a girlfriend. What is wrong with some people?
And he wasn't playing around he was 10000% serious. It just kind of upsets me. I want my son to enjoy being a kid not have some girl trying to be his girlfriend.

It's harmless at 4 years old - they really don't even know what it means to be boyfriend & girlfriend. It's just a title.
I had a "boyfriend" in kindergarten - we just made each other crafts and talked on the phone like once a week. haha.

It's not like they know what being by friend and girlfriend really is. It's just something fun to kids. You're overreacting.

bwahhaha... I had a "boyfriend" at 5. We jumped through the sprinklers together, then one day he chose to play baseball and we were over

You're really upset about that?!  ...it's not like the kid wanted to marry him and take him away from you forever. They're 4 years old, they don't know what being a boyfriend/girlfriend really means. It's just all fun and silly to them.

My baby girl will probably have lots of boyfriends at 4 years old cause she's so pretty=D lol

It's harmless. I wouldn't worry about it!

Mellow out mama! At the age of 4, it's more about just SAYING it's a girlfriend than being anything serious. It's not like they're hooking up behind the monkey bars.

I had a boyfriend in kindergarten. We never kissed, or held hands or any of that stuff. Plus, I dumped him because he couldn't get a quarter to buy a ring out of those machines.

I think you're over-reacting. At that age it's like a game and all innocence. I had a boyfriend at 4. He pushed me on the swings and we got ice cream from the ice cream truck together. He's now a pretty cute drag queen with a nice fiance.

I got "married" at that age lol. It's innocent. They will probably just share snacks in class and then get bored.

This little girl is a girl that told me she wanted to be just like her mom and have kids when she was 16 and told me that she has a "fat ass". She's not a normal 4 year old. Her "mother" has 4 other kids and makes her change diapers and smurf. She's being kind of mean to him because he isaid ew i dont want a girlfriend and shes making fun of him now.,

I remember having a boyfriend in kindergarten too. We went out for one day. It was a day that we went on a field trip to the pumpkin patch and went on a hay ride. He sat beside me on the hay ride...and that was basically all our relationship consisted of.

Let him settle his OWN issues with her.   Every little girl wants to be like their mom at that age, because it's all they know. They have no clue they can do more than their mom did... I wanted to be a cosmetologist at that age because, guess what, it's what mommy did and I wanted to be just like her.

Don't judge the girl based on smurf her mom teaches her... She IS being normal... Normal for her is what she's hearing.
