a dumb question whats Braxton Hicks

I have heard this alot but am a bit confused as to what it means. Is it fals contractions? Or your body getting ready for the real thing???? Sorry if this is a dumb question.....

To me...it felt like I was having a charlie horse in my stomach. It would get like that for a min. then go away. Happened maybe once or twice a day.

Real deal felt more like the worst period cramps ever, were regular, and kept getting worse.

false labor contractions, your body preparing for the real thing..

the first time i felt them i was like "ohh so thats what it feels like." it didnt hurt, of course it wasnt me going into labor though, but it just felt like tight squeezes.

Thanks ladies I felt like I was stupied for not knowing. Can this happen at enytime or just closer to the 40 week mark?

i heard of women having them as early as 5 months. and when i was 5 months pregnant, i had to ask what braxton hicks was after that. but i didnt feel BH until last month in the 8th month. every pregnancy is different though.

It's false labor contractions. Some people say they don't really hurt while others, like me, find them to be painful sometimes. I didn't what tget were so I went to L&D and they informed me. Body is getting ready for the real deal

Ahh ok I was wondering because everyonce in a while my stomic tightens in different spots almost as if a musle spasm I know its npt the baby kicking but it gets real uncomfortable.

im not sure why that is. that is exactly what i was going to question on here today, but forgot to. my boyfriend and i were watching my belly last night and wondering why it got hard as a rock sometimes. its like the baby is sticking out so far my skin is going to crack. its weird. good luck w yours!

I always new it was the baby when you feel pressure if you press down slightly like you do feeling a kick or feeling a knee. But this was way different . I posted another question about lower abdomal hardining no one wants to reply lol. I feel so dumb some times. Thanks for the kind words and direct answers. Also good luck on all of yours as well.
