When did your child get their first hair cut?

and how did they react? Did you take them to a place that specifies in childrens hair or just a regular salon?
My son will be 11 months on dec 3rd and we are getting his 1st year pictures on the 8th. I am thinking of taking him to get his hair cut on the same day as his pictures. His hair is out of control! It's usually sticking up in weird places and sometimes even when I wet it and comb it, it still wont tame!

I really couldn't tell you because my child had barely any hair until the age of two. Idk though I love crazy, long hair on little boys and I don't think I will be cutting his for a long time.

But idk if you really, really want the haircut most of my friends got their kids hair cute at like a year or so. I think it all just depends on if they need one or not.

lol I think it's time! DD hasn't had her hair cut yet. It's growing slowly, shes 3.

OP, does it get in his eyes a lot? I would say when it starts doing that maybe it's time.

Daughter had her very first salon cut at 3 years old.

At 12 months old I shaved my sons head and he did very well. He just recently (at 2 years old) had his first barber cut and sat very still.

My son's hair took forever to grow and was really tame and flat. We didn't take him to get a hair cut till was almost two. We took to regular shop because of where we lived at the time and he did pretty good.


By the way your little one is so stinkin cute!!!! 

Both my boys were 18 months when they got their haircut. My older song his hair was to his shoulders and curling. My younger son was like a q-tip head (very thin fluffy hair) it came just past his ears.

My stepson had his first hair cut at 21 months, he just sat still and had the "wtf are you doing" expression on his face.

It just barely gets in his eyes when he takes a bath. When it's dry it's usually sticking straight out or straight up in places... lol. It hardly touches his forehead when it's dry.

DS#1 got his first hair cut June 29th and he turned two July 4th. As you can see he wasn't very please, more so about the edge-up than actually getting his hair cut.

I LOVE your sons hair. If my sons hair was like that I don't think I would cut it either. It's really the fact that it's soooo hard to tame that makes me want to cut it.

My oldest had his done at 14 months and I remember that I cried during it lol. My other two had it done at 9 1/2 months because if they didn't it would have been down to the middle of their back by 12 months. If you look at my avi you can see how much hair they have lol. .

Idk! I think his hair is adorable! But it's also about preference yah know? Like I want Michael's hair to grow long. I just love long hair on boys but another mama might not like long hair on her boy so it all depends lol

OMG he's ADORABLE!!! My son got his first haircut on his first birthday and already had to get another one at 18 months lol. My daughter just turned 4 and has yet to get hers cut : )

His your son's hair really straight? My friend's son has straight hair kind of like your son's and he's gotten a lot of hair cuts since a year old and he's almost three now
