mall give aways? They say i won....

So I stop in a mall in the DFW area not to long ago and SO andI I filled out the little paper for the give away that they had next to a car, they called me today to tell me I'm a finalist and am guaranteed to win with the grand prize, a car there s 3 different options for the car, a 1500 shipping spree or and island getaway, 3 days 4 nights. Awesome right? But I have to drive out to silver leaf resort in flint TX about 2.5 hours away from me to basically scratch off a scratach off and see which give away I won, and by going and attending some 90 minute seminar I'll also win 1 of 3 getaways.....

Has anyone heard of this place or won something from a mall give away thing?
Is this legit or am I going to be wasting our time?

They don't ask for SS #'s or any kind of payment out anything like that and I diD enter the drawing....

It's a scam. They want to make you go through a timeshare thing or something.

I worked at a resort like that this summer. You're not guaranteed. And seriously it's been 4 years and nobody has magically won the truck yet.

ETA: At our resort you had to sit through their little thing about becoming a member of Coast to Coast or Resorts of Distinction. Not a timeshare but similar.

Sounds like you have to go sit through a timeshare meeting lol.

My brother in law entered one when he was 11 and won but since he was 11 he couldn't get anything from it.

yeah it is a scam. you didnt win anything...everyones a winner!! ...in their eyes. and in their pockets

they told my friends boyfriend he won a car, but he had to go like 4 hours away from where we live..and when he got there, they had no idea what he was talking about lol

I wouldn't care if I won the smallest prize or the car even if i had to sit through the meeting as long as i get something without having to buy anything id be cool with it , but why the heck would I want a time share I'm not working I can't buy nothing...lol guess they wanna waste both my time and theirs


I knew this all sound too good to be true.... I NEVER win anything lol

Even though I thought it wasn't.....can't say I didn't want it to be true!!

Sometimes if you win the vehicle you still have to pay tax title and license fees. They get you there.
