How do you cope with "Very bad periods"

I have a lovely little list of female issues that pretty much leave me in pain almost every day of the year. Periods are the worst. I don't like taking pain meds because they only help so much and honestly, I just don't want to be doped up all the time. SO I am looking for some helpful ways to cope at home that don't leave me connected to a heating pad. One thing I already do is I work out a little to help with cramps. Sometimes, mainly when I have a large ovarian cyst, I can't move without wanting to scream, so working out doesn't help on those days. Today is one of those days.   Any input would be great as I really could use some relief. I don't expect it to take everything away, even pain meds don't do that, but a little relief would be better than nothing.  

Banana's are supposed to help with period cramps.

As for cysts, the only thing that has helped me is being on birth control pills. Pain killers wouldn't even help with that pain. My sister gets cysts as well and she smokes weed for it :/

Now that you mention it, when I eat Banana's more I do hurt less. Hmm. May have to up my intake.   Thanks.

I tried BC for years and it has never helped with the cysts. My doctor said it is the weirdest thing that they do not respond. I know at 16 they had to remove my left ovary because the cyst turned solid and wouldn't shrink. It was huge. I looked pregnant.   I've had one in my right ovary for almost 2yrs and I can just now see it poking up when I lay down.  

Honestly, I have heard of a lot of women with endo who smoke pot to deal with the pain. I know it helps cancer patients cope too.

Oh wow   Mine have never gotten that big but they have still hurt so bad and medication didn't help but BC did. And pregnancy lol. I am on the mini pill now and so far no symptoms of any yet though it is more common with the mini pill so I don't know...

As for pot, if you are open to it (depending on your state laws) maybe it is worth a shot?
