good camera?

I want to save up for a good camera to take pictures of my son and my family at holidays and such lol but i dont want a regular digital camera i have one already & its so boring to use..if that makes sense  
What's a good camera you'd recommend?

I have a canon rebel t3. I love it..

I love my canon 5d mark ii

Someone that isn't getting into photography that just wants to take pictures a Nikon D3000 is easy to use.

OP I have a Rebel Xti. I LOVE it, and I have played around with some of the newer canons and I love them.   So I think a nice canon DSLR would be great.   But you can get decent pictures with a point and shoot too if you are not ready to pay more for a DSLR.

what's the difference between a Nikon and a Canon? is one better than the other or is that just an easy one to use?

The camera won't take good pictures for you.

I have a Nikon D3100 that I rock the smurf out of, yet I have seen people with a D3x take smurf photos. It's a craft.

Oh sorry.   A point and shoot is a small camera that you can fit in your pocket like a phone. Sorry.   I will say read your manual and google photography tutorials that help explain how to use your camera. Makes it easier to learn, especially if you are a visual/hands on type learner.

They are the same level. Pick what feels best in your hands.

Have you tried the Canon EOS rebel T3? I just searched & thats the one that popped up & its in stock at the target near my house. Would you recommend that one?

I don't own it, but I have used one and it too very clear images. One thing I will suggest is getting the body and buying a better lens. Most of the kit lenses are poop.
