adult ear infection

So i have only had an ear infection once and it was not bad at all. it was also 15 years ago. well i think i have one. My ear is throbbing internally, it is super smurfing painful, and i want to jab a pen in it to release the pressure. what can i do for it. I do not have insurance. so besides going to the doctor is there over the counter meds or home remedies? thanks in advance, this sucks.

do you breastfeed? ive put milk in my ears b4 it helps. also ive heard sweet oil too. if it gets too bad you can have hearing loss and damage so maybe try to get 50 together for a walk in place or something. amoxicllian is a 4 dollar script at walmart.

Antibiotics never worked for my ear infection. I did olive oil and garlic for about a day or 2. It worked amazing.

Here publix has a thing where its free. I know publix is a southern store tho.

You are going to have to make it into a doctor at some point or you are risking hearing loss.

I get constant, recurrant ear infections to the point that they actually put tubes in my ears to save my hearing. Doesn't stop the infections...just lessens the damage when they happen. And keeps me off oral antibiotics.

Sweet oil warmed and placed in the ear can ease the pain in the meantime. Some people swear it cures them...it has never cured mine, merely delayed the inevitable.

ezra already weaned   i have 12, 100 mg doxycylcline will that work?

I put olive oil in my ear and a warm compress. it has eased the pain. as for garlic, how much will minced in oil work? or should i just soak some in the olive oil first? and if this lasts more than a day or two i will go in. i just want to see if i can cure this at home. i have only had it happen once before. and peroxide how much?

Add the 1/2 cup of olive oil and two cloves of peeled and crushed garlic to a microwave-safe bowl, if you decide to make the mix in the microwave.
