Question about a 3 month old?

When did your babies start intentionally swatting at (or holding) toys? I know all babies develop differently, but what is the average age range they start with this?

DS is 10 weeks and is just starting to swat at toys. I think they typically start grasping them at like 4ish months. I could be wrong

My son started swatting at 2 months but it wasn't till 3 months that he started becoming interested in holding toys.

Piper started around 3 months but it wasn't like she was really interested in them.

DS seems to be swatting at them now, but sometimes I can't figure out if he's doing it on purpose, or if he's just flailing his arms around and accidentally hitting the toys .
