Hmm, probably.
With DD, I had an epi and pitocine at the same time. Wasn't dilated at all yet. The epi was actually helping my severe gallbladder pains, along with a morphine drip. I hardly remember much about the epi.
From the moment they started the pitocine until she was out, was about 3 hours and 26 minutes.
If this labor is just as fast as with DD or even shorter, I MIGHT try without. But then again, I had to have her in an emergency and it was all unexpected. So I'm not sure. This labor could go longer for all I know.

These are my thoughts too! I wish I had a short labor and could do it naturally this time around... but I'm not holding my breath!
