Norma McCorvey- now prolife!

posted 28th Nov
You may not recognize the name in the title. You may recognize her as Jane Roe in the Supreme Court case Roe v Wade. Did you know that she is now prolife and NEVER actually got an abortion? What do you think about her change of stance? She also now runs a prolife organization.

I think it is stupid, and thank god she doesn't have the right to overturn Roe vs Wade.

What made you change your mind? Just curious.

It doesn't change my opinion. I should not be forced to carry something inside my body for 9 months, undergo painful and possibly life changing or threatening changes, against my will.

im pro life, in regards to my own choices, and have trouble with people wanting to abort past the halfway point, but its not my place to say you cant. that would be my opinion.

When I was pregnant last, I read sooo many stories of people beating, raping babies and kids, and I cried for days. I thought... if we force people to have kids they cant afford, dont want... how much MORE is abuse going to go up? Better to terminate a clump of cells rather than have a baby or child suffer at the hands of the only people they know and love.

I find it extremely funny how people can just, change their minds.

I had a friend who had an abortion scheduled, never went through with it. Now she is wayy anti-abortion. She said she is "way against it now." I told her at least she had the option to make a choice about her body, she made the choice that was right for her, but that choice isn't right for everyone.

Eh, good for her.
I'm still very pro-choice.

I heard that she is also "ex-gay".

I get people changing their minds. I personally would not change my very prolife stance, but I've seen people convert both ways many, many times while volunteering/protesting with NRLC. People are easily swayed.
