when did you do your baby shower?

After yall ladies found out what the sex of the baby was how long after did you or your family throw a baby shower? My DH family wants to throw one after we find out on tuesdays what we are haven. But I'm not sure when we should throw one. I am 5 months.

I had mine when I was 34 or 35 weeks.

Most people do it when they're in their around 7 months. Or so I've heard. (:

I think I was 33 weeks. I delivered at 36 weeks.

Most people do it late in their pregnancies. I'm having a gender reveal Sunday and I'll be 26 weeks, and I found out at 17 weeks what I was having. Only reason I'm having it so early is because people are so impatient to find out the gender.

One at 35 weeks & the 2nd one at 37-38 weeks

Thanks ladies. With my first everything was given to me after my son was born. No one showed up to my baby shower when I threw it so I didnt really know.

My family through mine when I was 29 weeks. It's probably best to do it kind of early, because if I would have held off a few more weeks I would have been too exhausted to go through anything. Lol.

My family is very supersticious so they wouldn't do it until after baby was born. My aunt hosted my shower when DD was about 1 month old. It was fun because it was the first time most people met her.

For baby #2 I am not having a shower but I will be having a meet-the-baby party which will be more of a casual open house. I am hosting it myself because I am more centrally located but there will be no presents.

I never found out the sex but I had my baby shower at 35 weeks.

I had mine around 25 weeks, i think, because i was on vacation from work that week and since the shower was being held at my house, it gave me time to relax before and after.
