They work if you do it correctly. As in, if the man even texts you, you call the police. If he's on your property, you call the police and don't engage in contact with him.
Personally, you don't sound mature enough to ignore him.

Also, if you told your husband that, then he should feel no need to fight this man and it shouldn't even be an option. You put it on the poll, don't get mad at people for telling you it's a dumb smurfing idea.

Ok I know that you go to the court and order one. Then they deliver a paper saying you have a restraining order and can't come in so many feet of this person. If you do you will go back to jail. Thats what they said the last time I got one for him. He came I called the police they had him leave that was it! They were supposed to take him to jail bbut houston cops are crooked.

Get a no contact order. He can't come on your property, can't call you, can't add you on Facebook, can't even talk to your family members.
And they don't whisk him to jail on the first offense. It's like one or two strikes you're out sort of thing. At least, that's how mine works.

Thanks I moved out of houston to buffalo tx. I have my lil brother liven with us because his big sister didnt want him out on the streets. Yeah onetime I broke the A key have no clue how that happened at all!!! Really weird.
