Red Heart Super Saver is really itchy/scratchy.
Bernat Baby, Vanna's Choice, I Love This Yarn!, those are brands that are super soft and not itchy.

If anything ask, the maker. Acrylic yarn is very easy to upkeep, so a lot of crafters use it for kid stuff.
