Child Neglect Charges Pending

I know someone who right now has their children in hands of CPS. She left her 2 year old with the father which she is or was not with at the time & when she returned she found the police at her home he fled & made it look like she had left her alone. She had her newborn with her in which he was not the father of. So now for 3 months they have been in states custody she goes back to court in January hoping she gets her children back being she is missing a lot of her newborns firsts. Plus the holidays & birthdays. She also is being indicted sometime in May for the charges & is hoping she won't face jail time. She is a great mother & has plenty of people to stand & state that. Just wanting everyone's input or if they know of anyone who has went thru this how it turned out. She has no previous charges of any kind against her either.

That sounds crazy! Why would the guy run off to make the mom look bad? Unless he is just that big of a jerk. I wish her the best!

That's terrible!!! Did her ex flee after the cops showed up or did he leave and call them on her to kind of frame her? Aww I feel so bad for her! I would be devastated

That's terrible. I hope everything works out for her. California's family law system is wack but I hope it works out for her.

Apparently the cops were called because they said someone heard a crying baby. He is a big jerk but she was being nice letting him see his child & he framed her but she has no proof at all that she did leave the child with him just her word. I feel so bad for her & I don't know why he would do such a thing they wouldn't give the child or children to him in court so he basically pulled his child from the mother & had her placed wih strangers.

What a smurfing jackass!! I hope they see the truth and she gets her kids back. Annnnd that would also be the last time ex saw my kids ever again!

This didnt happen in this state my friend lives in my home state which is Va. I'm not sure what's going to happen. They were taken Aug 23rd & the last hearing gave her a probationary period & they go back in Jan but that's just to see if she gets them back that's not for the charges that won't be held until June or July with another judge.

its sad and while i do feel for her she knew the 2y/o wasnt allowed to be left with the father she should have been more responsible than that   i hope shes learned from her mistake and is able to get her babies back for christmas

Oh I just caught that. That wasn't the smartest thing she could have done. I'd never leave my kid alone with her dad, especially if she wasn't supposed to.

She had left her with him many times but he never ever Pulled something like this. I doubt she'll get them for the holidays court isn't until Jan. She gets one visit a week for 4hrs but that's at the Heath & Human Resources Dept.

She was allowed to leave him with the child.

Ok got it now. Wow that is crazy. I find it weird that it already has been 3 months and still nothing happening. Must be the county. The county I am in I worked with moms/dads who had kids taken away and worked with CPS and it doesnt take that long. What a weird situation

Yes I know. They have been super slow about this. It happened a week before her little girl turned two. She didn't get to see her on her birthday, then they had a court date in which nothing happened at & didn't set the next one until the 2nd week of Jan.
